SCARCE E.M. REILLY 16 GAUGE HAMMER SHOTGUN. E.M. REILLY HAMMER BACKACTION 34598 16GA Cal. 16 ga. 28" Damascus bbls with large brass front bead. Chambers marked for 2-1/2" shells and proofed for 3 tons. Chokes cyl/mod. Full length Damascus top rib. Dbl triggers, extractors, no safety. Straight grip buttstock checkered in 3-point pattern with 14-5/8" LOP over solid red pad. Splinter forearm with steel tip is nearly fully checkered. Receiver is lightly scroll engraved. Backaction locks marked "E.M. Reilly & Co." Hammers, top lever, trigger guard, and trigger plate are blued. All visible SN's match. WEIGHT: 5 lbs 14 oz. PROVENANCE: The Larry Kelley estate collection. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain nearly all of their restored Damascus pattern. Buttstock has been restored with now near invisible repairs at wrist and retains nearly all of its restored finish. Forearm with filler at tip and piece spliced in at center has been restored, slightly undersized, and retains most of it's restored finish, checkering quite crisp. Bores are bright and shiny.
