OUTSTANDING COLLECTOR'S LOT OF WINCHESTER 1894'S CHAMBERED FOR 32-40. WINCHESTER 1894 189341 32-40 MODERN; C&R Cal. 32-40. 20" rnd bbl, full magazine, full blue finish, straight grain American walnut stocks with steel carbine buttplate. Bbl shows 2-line Winchester address rolled in front of rear sight with Cal. designation to the rear. Front sight is of the beaded blade type, bead is missing. Rear sight is of the ladder variety. Lyman tang sight. SN is stamped on the forward bottom part of receiver. Tang sight was not removed. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and magazine tube are grey/brown patina with traces of blue in protected areas. There is some erosion on the left side of the bbl and tube at the mid-point in front of the forend. Bbl markings are sharp. Sights very good. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Receiver retains 20% blue in protected areas, especially around the saddle ring and hammer with the balance drifting to a silver/grey patina. Receiver has a few light scratches and handling marks. Hammer and lever both show a smooth grey/brown patina with hints of case color. Tang sight shows traces of blue. Stocks are very good, full sized and show only minor handling marks overall. Buttstock has some roughness behind the lower tang. Buttplate is a crusty, mottled brown patina with high point wear at the heel and toe. Rear band shows traces of blue with the balance being silver/grey. Front band shows traces of blue with some erosion on the bottom. Mechanics are crisp. An opportunity to obtain a nice Model 1894 carbine in a rare caliber. 52405-13 TEP (2,000-2,750)

WINCHESTER 1886 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. WINCHESTER 1886 109854 45-70 Cal. 45-70, 26" oct bbl, full magazine, 1/2 nickel front sight with set screw, 1000 yd. ladder rear sight. Top of bbl is marked "MANUFACTURED BY THE / WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A." Standard receiver mounted with straight grain walnut, uncheckered straight grip, crescent steel buttplate, standard forend with nose cap. CONDITION: Very Good to Fine. Bbl retains 75-80% thinning orig blue, bright on sharp edges, normal nicks & dings and some small areas of fine surface oxidation. Mag tube shows excellent orig blue with some normal scratches and some spotty areas showing brown. Receiver has traces of orig case color in protected areas with overall finish being a silver hardening with areas blended with spotty brown patina. Hammer has visible orig case colors on back with sides faded to a silver patina. Lever has good orig colors on side with bottom a blend of brown and silver patina. Stock is sound with some minor nicks & dings and retains a restored Winchester varnish finish. Forend is sound with some minor nicks & dings, retaining a thin coat of added finish blending with hand-worn patina. Nose cap is silver hardening with gray patina. Mechanics are crisp with shiny bore with a few small areas of shallow pits in the grooves. 52405-15 BDT188 (2,500-3,500)
