ANTIQUE WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SADDLE RING CARBINE WITH MARBLE FRONT SIGHT AND LYMAN REAR SIGHT. WINCHESTER 1894 134594 38-55 Cal. 38-55. 20" rnd bbl, full magazine, full blue finish, straight grain American walnut stocks with steel carbine buttplate. Bbl shows 2-line Winchester address rolled in front of rear sight with Cal. mark to the rear of sight. Front sight is marked "MARBLE" and has a brass bead. Rear sight is standard ladder type. Receiver has saddle ring attached. SN is stamped on the lower forward part of receiver. Tang sight was not removed. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and magazine tube are a smooth grey/brown patina overall with a few light dents and some blue visible in protected areas. Markings are sharp. Sights are very good. Bore is frosty with visible rifling. Receiver retains 20-30% blue overall that is bright in protected areas with the balance blending to a grey/brown patina. Hammer and lever are both a silver/grey patina with some traces of case color. Markings are sharp. Rear sight is very good. Stocks are very good, full size and show numerous handling marks and dents overall commensurate with the age of the carbine. Bbl bands are both a silver/grey patina with traces of blue. Mechanics are crisp. A nice antique 1884 carbine in a very desirable caliber. 52405-17 TEP (1,000-1,250)
