WINCHESTER PRE-WWII MODEL 94 CARBINE.WINCHESTER94 CARBINE110398830WCFMODERN; C&RCal. 30 WCF. 20" bbl, full blue finish. Straight grain American walnut stocks with steel carbine buttplate. Bbl shows Winchester Model and Cal. mark on the left rear side. Winchester address is marked on right rear side. Standard sights for this Model with a hood on the front sight. Forend is of the earlier long type. Bbl band is rnd. Upper tang of receiver is marked "WINCHESTER / TRADEMARK / MADE IN USA". SN is stamped on the forward bottom of the frame. PROVENANCE: The collection of Tim Zissler. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and magazine tube retain 90% of the blue finish that is somewhat dull with slight muzzle wear. Sights are very good. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver retains 20-30% blue with most of the wear occurring at the carry point. Receiver has small handling marks and scratches overall. Markings are sharp. Hammer and lever show traces of the orig blue finish. Stocks are very good, full sized with only minor handling marks overall. Buttplate is a grey/brown patina with some staining at the toe. Action is crisp. A nice example of a pre-WWII Model 94 "Eastern Carbine" that lacks a saddle ring. 52471-6 TEP (900-1,500)
