UNION METALLIC CARTRIDGE CO. 1895 ADVERTISING CALENDAR.Lithograph advertising calendar depicts hunting dog on straw bed in front of doghouse with litter of five puppies. Foreground shows 100 rnd box of UMC paper shot shells with chewed corners. Background shows dbl bbl hammer shotgun leaning against game bag. Lower portion has twelve month 1895 calendar. Margin left of calendar marked "Factory/Bridgeport/Conn., U.S.A.". Right margin marked "Agencies:/New York/and San Francisco". Artist signature "Marie Guise Newcomb" sits above calendar. Bottom margin shows "copyrighted 1893 by The Knapp Co. Lith. N.Y". Calendar size 28-1/2" x 14". Mounted in decorative weathered wood appearing frame on grey matting. Framed size is 33-1/2" x 18-7/8". SIZE: CONDITION: Colors are vivid, showing little fading. Edges have light creasing and tears commensurate with age. Some show rice paper repairs. Top portion has repairs to creases. Lower left corner has tears extending into calendar margin and showing inpainting.
