FINE HIGH ORIGINAL CONDITION MARLIN MODEL 1893 TAKEDOWN RIFLE IN 38-55 CALIBER.MARLIN189320009438-55MODERN; C&RCal. 38-55. 26" tapered oct bbl with full mag, silver blade front sight with buckhorn rear sight. Bbl is marked "Special Smokeless Steel", top of receiver marked "Marlin Safety", top tang marked "Model 1893". Receiver, lever, hammer, buttplate, and takedown extension are all case hardened. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains approximately 90-95% orig blued finish with some high edge wear and a couple small areas of loss. Mag tube retains approximately 90% orig blue finish. Receiver and extension retain approximately 85-90% orig case color, particularly bold and vivid on right side of frame, some toning and spotting on left side. Lever retains traces of orig color. Hammer retains most of it's orig color on sides. Buttplate with approximately 80% orig color starting to tone. Buttstock and forearm are excellent with scattered scratches and handling marks and retain most of their orig finish. Bore is very good, rifling appears strong. Mechanics are fine.
