HIGH ORIGINAL CONDITION PRE-WAR SAVAGE MODEL 99-G RIFLE.SAVAGELever 99-G305365303SAVMODERN; C&RCal. .303 Savage. Standard configuration and markings with 22" detachable bbl. Bright blued action fitted with special Lyman tang sight. Case hardened operating lever. Capped pistol grip checkered American walnut stock. Steel buttplate. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Russell Grinnell. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95 - 98% orig blue with a few light scratches and high edge wear. Lever retains most of its orig color, faded where varnish has chipped. Stocks retain over 90% orig varnish with some attic burn and some scratches, showing evidence of repair behind top tang, mostly covered by sight. Bore is excellent.
