LOT OF TWO ANTIQUE COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVERS. COLT SAA 147903 41 COLT Cal. 41 Colt. 4-3/4" bbl. Blue and case color finish. 2-pc checkered hard rubber grips with American eagle logo. 2-line Colt address is rolled on top of bbl with Cal. mark on left side. SNs marked on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Cylinder is not marked, SNs match; grips show different number.
CONDITION: Very good. Revolver shows a plum-brown patina overall with muzzle wear and traces of blue in protected areas. Markings are sharp, front sight is full sized. Bore is frosty with visible rifling. Chambers are clean, bushing is free, face of cylinder shows some erosion. Loading gate fits. Cylinder base pin and screw are replacements. Grips are very good, right grip has repair at the heel. Mechanics are functional. A nice example of a black powder frame Colt six-shooter. 52696-4 TEP (3,000-4,500)
COLTSAA17612741 ColtCal. 41 Colt. 5-1/2" bbl, blue and case color finish, 2-pc hard rubber grips with Colt medallions. Bbl shows 1-line Colt address on top with Cal. mark on left side. SNs match on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Cylinder is not numbered. Frame shows 2-line Colt patent mark on left side, followed by a Rampant Colt logo in a circle. Assembly number 374 is stamped on loading gate, no further disassembly was affected. Grips have SN from different gun, but fit well. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl and magazine tube are both a smooth grey-brown patina, markings are sharp, bore is frosty with strong rifling. Frame is also a smooth grey patina with hints of case color. All markings are sharp. Backstrap and trigger guard show generous traces of blue with the balance being a grey-brown patina. Cylinder is grey-brown overall, chambers are clean, bushing is free. Hammer shows a generous amount of case color on both sides. Mechanics function, timing needs attention. A real nice Colt 6-shooter with no abuse in the antique SN range. 52696-5 TEP (1,750-2,250)
