COLT MODEL 1877 "LIGHTNING" DOUBLE ACTION EJECTORLESS REVOLVER WITH MEXICAN TOOLED HOLSTER. COLT 1877 LIGHTNING 54382 38 COLT Cal. 38 Colt. 3-1/2" bbl with no ejector. Full nickel finish with 2-pc hard rubber grips. Bbl shows correct 2-line Colt address rolled on top with "Colt D.A. 38" in an etched panel on the left side. SN is marked on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. SN is scratched on the inside of right grip. All SN's match. Cylinder is not marked. Holster is very high quality of the jockstrap design. Front face of holster is deeply tooled with a punch-dot background and fine line bordering. Upper portion of socket has a small silver concho which appears original. Holster also has hold down strap. Back flap of holster is reinforced at the socket. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl retains 30-40% nickel finish. Address is sharp. Panel is clearly legible. Front sight is full size. Bore is dark, with traces of rifling. Frame retains 10-20% nickel, mostly on left side. Patent marks are sharp. Trigger guard retains 80% nickel. Backstrap shows 10% nickel, mostly on the apron. Cylinder retains 30% nickel with the balance flaked to a silver grey patina. Hammer shows traces of fire blue. Grips are very good, intact with clear Colt logos. Mechanics need attention. Trigger return spring does not work. Holster is very good. It has a deep russet brown color. Stitching is intact. Lining is intact. Concho is fine. Hold down strap is broken.
