LOT OF 3 GUN BELTS WITH HOLSTERS AND 2 BOWIE KNIVES.1) Gun belt with "Slim Jim" holster and Bowie knife made by Cheyenne Saddle Company. Holster is of the "Slim Jim" variety with border tooling and "Cheyenne Swell". Makers mark appears on loop. Belt it 2-1/2" wide with 30 cartridge loops containing cartridges. Buckle is nickel plated of the clip-corner type. Size is "41". Knife scabbard is also tooled with same design as holster and bears maker's mark on rear of loop. Knife is of clip-point Bowie design with a 9" heavy blade that has scallop decoration on top. Hand guard is brass. Scales are synthetic with appearance of horn. Belt is approximately 40. 2) Gun belt with "Slim Jim" holster and Bowie knife scabbard with knife. Holster is tooled on the borders and has a "Cheyenne Swell" with an open toe. Holster also has a half-flap held down by a small strap at throat. Flap is also nicely tooled. Face of holster is marked "CHEYENNE SADDLE COMPANY". Bowie knife sheath shows similar decoration with maker mark on rear of loop. Bowie knife is of the clip-point variety with a 9" blade, scallop decorations on the back, brass guard and synthetic scales that have the appearance of horn. Belt is 2-1/2" wide with 30 loops for large Cal. cartridges. Buckle is nickel plated of the clip-corner type. Size is "41". 3) Gun belt with Mexican sgl-loop holster made in the Montana style. Holster is decorated overall with deep relief floral carving, silver studs decorate the throat, loop and skirt. Seams are bound with a Mexican laced border. Makers mark "D.M. BULLARD MAKER AZLE. TX" is stamped on flap under the toe of holster. Matching belt has similar decoration and is bordered on both edges by silver studs. Buckle is of the rectangular clip-corner type with engraving on front face and appears to be silver. Back of buckle is stamped "EDWARD H. BOHLIN HOLLYWOOD, CA". Makers mark is seen on the billet of the belt. Belt also has Mexican lace border on both sides with a liner. SIZE: PROVENANCE: The Forrest G. Rhodes collection. CONDITION: 1) Fine. Rig shows some use, but no abuse. All stitching and loops are intact. Knife has not been sharpened and shows only slight wear. 2) Very good to fine. Rig shows some light use overall, with staining on the holster and on the billet. All markings are sharp. Buckle is very good. Knife also shows some use with light staining at the point and an abrasion at the outer scale. 3) Very fine and shows only light use. Tooling is sharp. Buckle is fine. Three very nice, contemporary gun belt rigs, two of which have nearly identical knives. 52470-8 TEP (750-1,250)
