CASED PAIR OF COLT RICHARD'S CONVERSION REVOLVERS. COLT RICHARDS CONV PISTOLS 197851/195494 44CF Cal. 44 CF. 1) SN 195494. 1st Model Richards variation. 8" bbl, blue and case color finished, brass trigger guard, iron backstrap, 1-pc walnut grip. Bbl shows 1-line Colt address on top. Visible SNs match on frame, bbl, trigger guard and backstrap. Cylinder has been re-numbered to match. No further disassembly was affected. 2) SN 197851. 2nd Model Richards variation. 8" bbl, blue and case color finished, brass trigger guard, iron backstrap, 1-pc walnut grip. Bbl is marked with Colt address on top. Visible SNs match on frame, bbl, and trigger guard. Backstrap is numbered "183663". No further assembly was affected. Accompanying case contains six 44RF cartridges. Box is contemporary, made of oak with partitions for both revolvers. CONDITION: 1) Fair. Bbl shows plum/brown patina overall with clear bbl address. Ejector rod and head are replacements. Frame is a dark brown patina and shows heavy cleaning overall. Trigger guard and backstrap also show heavy cleaning. Grip has been sanded and is undersized. Mechanics need attention. Wedge is frozen, bore was not examined. 2) Fair. Bbl shows a deep brown patina overall. Bbl address is legible. SNs are legible. Ejector rod head is replacement. Frame also has a smooth brown patina. Colt's patent mark is visible on left side. Trigger guard is a mottled yellow patina. Backstrap is deep brown patina. Cylinder is deep brown patina with traces of scene and battering overall. Bolt stops have worn through. Grips are fair with glue repair on left side. Loading gate has been polished bright. Mechanics are functional. Wedge is frozen, bore was not examined. Condition of box is fair. Lid is warped, partitions are intact, lining is intact. 52594-70 TEP (2,000-3,000) W/CASE
