3RD MODEL 1851 COLT NAVY PERCUSSION REVOLVER. COLT NAVY 36425 36 Cal. 36. Standard configuration with 7-1/2" oct bbl with 1-line New York address, made in 1854. Gun appears all orig, complete and matching, other than reproduction wedge. PROVENANCE: The Confederate and Civil War estate collection of Fred Donaldson. CONDITION: Very good overall. Markings all easily discerned. Cylinder retains about half it's rolled Ormsby naval battle scene with all 6 functional safety pins. Gun is cleaned overall to a fairly smooth light grey/brown patina, with sharp edges. Grips are refinished, well fit. Traces of silver are found on brass trigger guard and backstrap.
