COLT MODEL 1862 POLICE REVOLVER. COLT 1862 POLICE 1381 36 Cal. 36. Standard configuration with 5-1/2" bbl with 1-line Hartford address. This gun was made in the first year of the Civil War in 1861 and this model was popular with officers, especially in longer bbls. CONDITION: Very good overall as refinished, retaining about 30% of its refinished color. Gun has been heavily cleaned prior to refinish which has made markings weak in areas. Well fit stocks still retain about 80% orig varnish with heavy edge wear. Mechanics need attention with well defined rifled bore. 52594-29 JS (800-1,200)
