LOT OF TWO RARE 19TH CENTURY 32 CALIBER CURIOSA PISTOLS. REID/UNIQUE MY FRIEND/SHATUCK 18384/161 32/32 MODERN Cal. 32 RF. 1) Shatuck "Unique" 4-bbl pistol made in Hatfield, Massachusetts. 1-3/8" bbl cluster. 2) Cal. 32. James Reid New Model "MY FRIEND" sgl-action knuckle duster. This particular example is made in early 1880's with enlarged finger hole marked on left side of frame "REID'S NEW MODEL 32 / MY FRIEND". Standard configuration 5-shot with 2-1/16" bbl. CONDITION: 1) Fine overall retaining much of it orig nickel finish with old cleaning and pitting. Mechanically fine with bright smooth bore. 2) Very good to fine overall. Crisp engraved patterns. Markings discernible but light. Mechanically needs attention with crisp bright bore. 52289-3 JS (2,000-5,000)
