HIGHLY INLAID PERCUSSION KENTUCKY RIFLE SIGNED BY GEORGE K FLECK, BARRVILLE PA.GEORGE FLECKF/S PERCNSN45Cal. 45. Overall 55-1/2". 3-1/4" x 3/4". 40-1/2" full oct rifled bbl signed in script "G.K. Fleck". This curly maple stocked gun has ten silver inlays. The 4-pc patchbox has an engraved door and side panels. The percussion lock is bright and the gun has dbl set triggers. There is a 4" brass saddle plate and 4-1/2" brass 1-screw sideplate. George Fleck was active from 1840-1877 and also worked in Mt. Union, PA. CONDITION: Fair condition. 4" of wood has been replaced around the bbl tang with 1-1/4" replaced forward of lock. 5-3/4" x 3/8" wood sliver replaced at muzzle on left hand side. Mechanics need attention. Lock is not working and patchbox release needs adjustment. 52367-4 RGG (2,500-3,500)
