TWO KENTUCKY FLINTLOCK PISTOLS.21 & 23KY PISTOLNSNUNK1) Exquisite silver mounted 14" overall with 9" 2-stage bbl by renowned contemporary maker William Buchele. Beautifully carved stock with raised relief silver mounts, signed lock and "LIBERTY OR DEATH" engraved on bbl flat. 2) Possibly a restock of an old gun signed "J. Trohill" on top bbl flat. Brass mounted. 15" overall with 9-1/2" rifled bore. PROVENANCE: Outstanding estate collection of Confederate and historical arms of Morris Racker. CONDITION: 1) Very good overall. Functional with bright bore. 2) Good overall. Iron dark and pitted. Functional with discernible rifled bore. 51958-10 JS (3,000-5,000)
