MODEL 1826 SIMEON NORTH CONTRACT NAVY PISTOL, CONVERTED TO PERCUSSION.S. NORTH1826NSN/NSN54Cal. 54. This is the last of North's military contracts for martial pistols in standard configuration; 13-3/4" overall with 8-1/2" rnd bbl, with inspection marks on bbl and stock. This pattern was made in 1827 & 28 for a total of 1,000 pairs delivered to the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Almost all of these guns were converted with this style "Cone-in-the-top-the-barrel" percussion conversion. CONDITION: Very good overall. Metal is a mix of grey and dark brown patinas. "1827" dated. Gun appears orig and complete with exception of missing belt hook, though screw is still present. Functional with smooth clear bore. 52415-3 JS (1,500-2,500)
