1916 dated Model 1881 imperial enlisted dragoon saber with brass mounted lacquered canvas covered scabbard. SIZE: CONDITION: Very good overall. 33-1/2" blade mostly bright with old sharpening and some orig tool marks. Scabbard is sound and solid with scuffing and wear exposing canvas with chips and scuffs to black surface overall. Fine Russian officers'' shasqua with 30" triple fullered Solingen blade. Blade and top mount both engraved with Cyrillic name engraved as can be seen in photos. This example is especially nice retaining most of the fine niello and enamel work which is found en suite on hilt and both scabbard mounts. SIZE: CONDITION: Fine to very fine overall. Blade retains some orig polish with partially discernible Peter Luneschloss, Solingen makers mark. Silver mount and hilt have light patina retaining most of the inset black enamel with fine niello detail. Scabbard is also fine retaining all of its 2-pc leather veneer over wooden body with about a 6" crack on one edge above drag. All-in-all a superior conditioned example. 52646-46 JS (500-1,000)
