LE VERRE FRANCAIS FRENES VASE.LE VERRE FRANCAISFRENESLe Verre Francais large squat vase is decorated with stylized cameo ash tree branches and blossoms descending from the top rim and honeycomb tile around the bottom, in violet shading down to bright orange, against a mottled yellow acid-textured background. Vase is finished with two dark violet applied glass handles. Signed on the lower edge with etched "Le Verre Francais" and retains retailer sticker on the underside marked "Au Bon Marche" with handwritten "68" and "880". Similar vases illustrated in the book Charles Schneider by Joulin/Maier, pg.137. SIZE: 9-3/4" t. x 12" dia. PROVENANCE: From a Boston, MA collection.
