PAIR OF MONUMENTAL AUGUST JEAN ENAMELED AND APPLIED VASES.AUGUST JEANPair of monumental vases have smoky quartz bodies with applied blue glass lip, and rigaree descending from the lip and forming three legs on each vase. The sides of one vase are decorated with gilded medallions with bluebirds in flight within each medallion, the other vase has gilded medallions are decorated with enameled fish and birds in the medallions, the sides are further decorated with colorfully enameled leaves and flowers. Each vase is signed in the polished pontil "A.J." SIZE: 19-3/4" t. CONDITION: Both vases have been drilled in the bottom, partially obscuring the signatures, otherwise very good to excellent. 52652-1 DAB (1,500-2,500)
