HANDEL REVERSE PAINTED AQUARIUM LAMP.HANDELHandel lamp has reverse painted panels with underwater scene of fish swimming among aquatic plants, each panel is finished on the exterior with chipped ice. Signed on the inside rim "Handel" and numbered. Shade rests on an original Handel base with aquatic decoration around the foot showing fish and aquatic plants. The base has two arms supporting a single socket each and is finished in a rich brown patina with green highlights. Base is signed on the underside with cloth tag "Handel". A similar example of this shade and base is pictured in the book Handel Lamps by Robert Falco, Carol Goldman Hibel, and John Hibel, pg. 119. SIZE: Shade 14-1/2" x 9" x 7-3/4" t. Lamp 20-1/2" t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. Re-wired with contemporary plastic cord. 52479-1 DAB (50,000-60,000)
