UNIQUE/HANDEL LEADED TABLE LAMP.HANDELTable lamp has leaded glass shade with a wide floral skirt with pink flowers encircling the shade. The flowers are set against a background of green and white striated stylized leaves which continue down to form and irregular border. The top of the shade is done in caramel slag glass geometric panels. Shade is unsigned, however a similar example can be seen in the book Mosaic Shades: Volume II by Paul Crist, pg 73, center row. Shade rests on a Handel base with subtle stylized leaf design decorating the body. The stem supports a 3-socket cluster along with a shade ring that has been added to accommodate the shade. The base is finished in dark brown and topped with a cast bronze cap as well as an ear of corn finial. Base is signed on the underside "Handel". SIZE: Shade is 16" dia. Lamp 24-3/4" t. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent with very few tight hairlines. Base is very good to excellent with some minor wear and discoloration to finish. Re-wired with contemporary plastic cord. 52744-10 DAB (2,500-3,500)
