RARE 28 GAUGE WINCHESTER MODEL 21 SHOTGUN WITH BOX.WINCHESTER213236628GAW/BOXMODERN; C&RCal. 28 ga. 2-3/4" Chambers. 28" Bbls with raised matted ventilated rib are marked "MODEL 21 WINCHESTER" "TRADEMARK" "28 GAUGE 2-3/4" on top of left bbl. Bbl flats are stamped with SN and Winchester proofs. Bottoms of bbls are stamped "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL" and with chokes "WS-1" and "WS-2". Blued action with automatic safety and blued selective single trigger is marked "WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO" and with proof on water table. Nicely crotch figured American walnut Winchester capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/4" over checkered wood butt, and features checkered side panels, and point pattern checkering at grip. Beavertail ejector forend has reinforcing brace. Bore diameter: left -.551, right - .550. Bore restrictions: left - .010 (skeet), right - .006 (skeet). Drop at heel: 2-3/16", drop at comb: 1-3/8". Weight: 7 lbs. 6 oz. LOP: 14-1/4". Gun is accompanied by cardboard box with Model 21 label, with no information filled in. Box contains packing material. PROVENANCE: WINCHESTER label, information flyers, and instruction booklet along with blank invoice and catalog. Bill Trotter collection. CONDITION: Essentially as new, with only a very few of the faintest of handling and assembly marks on all metal and wood surfaces. Looks to be unfired since proof. Mechanically excellent.
