EXCEEDINGLY RARE SPECIAL ORDER PARKER CHE GRADE 20 GAUGE SHOTGUN WITH SPECIAL OPTIONS - ONE OF TWO MADE IN THIS CONFIGURATION WITH FACTORY LETTER.PARKERCHE23578620GAMODERN; C&RCal. 20ga. 28" ventilated rib Acme Steel bbl with steel mid and front bead. No.0 frame with un-struck bbl weight 3lbs. 5ozs. Orig Parker sgl selective trigger, auto ejectors, non auto safety. Special order straight grip buttstock with teardrop behind action checkered in CHE pattern with the unique factory addition of a small flower at the top of wrist in checkering. Silver shield near toe. Buttstock is finished with a modern Silver's type pad with 13-1/4" LOP from rear position sgl trigger (would be 14-1/4 with double triggers). Splinter forearm checkered in standard CHE pattern with engraved Deeley release and engraved steel tip. Action is beautifully engraved with pointer on point on right side of action in field scene surrounded by well cut shaded scroll engraving and cross-hatch border pattern and setter in field scene on left. Bottom of action with well cut diving duck in beautiful marsh scene with cattails. Front of trigger plate with scroll engraving, all surrounded by cross-hatch border. Fences with burst of scroll. Long tang trigger guard with scroll engraving on bow and SN engraved at tang with flowing border pattern. Bbls marked as overload prooved and forearm with proper reinforced lug. Accompanied by a PGCA letter describing this gun as found today with the exception of LOP and weight. WEIGHT: 6lbs. 9ozs. CONDITION: Fine, bbls retain approx 95% orig blued finish with an area of minor loss ahead of forearm on bottom rib and left tube. Receiver retains about 1/3 of its orig case hardened finish mostly in protected areas. Trigger plate screws have been turned. Buttstock retains about 95% of its orig finish with oil added for preservation and shows minor handling marks and scattered minor hunting bumps throughout. Forearm retains most of its orig finish, again with some finish added for preservation. Bores are very good with a patch or two of beginning roughness in right tube. Mechanics are crisp.
