SCARCE VERY HIGH CONDITION 20 GAUGE PARKER "VHE" SHOTGUN WITH 30" BARRELS.PARKERVHE22171720GAMODERN; C&RCal. 20 ga. 2-3/4" Chambers. 0 Frame. 30" Bbls are marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. VULCAN STEEL" on matted game rib. Bbl flats and lumps are stamped with all correct markings. Action has all correct patent and grade markings on water table, and features automatic safety and dbl triggers. Action is engraved "Parker Bros" on each side within wiggle borders in typical "V" fashion. SN is on trigger guard tang. Plain American walnut Parker capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/8" over Parkers dogs head buttplate with spur. Stock is finished in "VH" fashion with widely spaced point pattern checkering at grip and German silver shield on toe line. Matching splinter ejector forend has typical Parker release and patent date on iron. Bore diameter: left -.615, right - .615. Bore restrictions: left - .020 (mod), right - .020 (mod). Wall thickness: left - .027, right - .018. Drop at heel: 2-1/2", drop at comb: 1-7/16". Cast: neutral. Weight: 6 lbs. 8 oz. LOP: 14-1/8". Gun not listed in PARKER GUN SERIALIZATION AND IDENTIFICATION ledger. CONDITION: Excellent, very close to new with only a few minor marks in metal finishes and only a hint of high edge wear. Forend latch mostly silver gray. Blue on trigger guard has some minor flakes on bow, considerably flaked on grip. Stocks have a small number of minor compressions and marks, mostly on the right side of butt. Bores are excellent. Mechanically excellent. A fairly scarce small bore Parker, THE PARKER STORY indicates that under 1000 twenty bore "VH" guns were made with 30" bbls.
