TRULY EXCEPTIONAL, NEAR NEW, 16 GAUGE PARKER TROJAN SHOTGUN.PARKERTROJAN22920816GAMODERN; C&RCal. 16 ga. 2-1/2" Chambers. 1 Frame. 28" Bbls are marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. TROJAN STEEL" on matted game rib. Bbl flats and lumps are stamped with all correct markings. Action has all correct patent and grade markings on water table, and features automatic safety and dbl triggers. Action is engraved "Parker Bros" on each side. SN is on trigger guard tang. Plain American walnut pistol grip buttstock measures 14" over ribbed composition buttplate. Stock is finished in "TROJAN" fashion with widely spaced point pattern checkering at grip. Matching splinter forend has spring tension release. Bore diameter: left -.666, right - .667. Bore restrictions: left - .029 (full), right - .023 (mod). Wall thickness: left - .021, right - .022. Drop at heel: 2-3/4", drop at comb: 1-13/16". Cast: neutral. Weight: 6 lbs. 8 oz. LOP: 14". Gun not listed in PARKER GUN SERIALIZATION AND IDENTIFICATION ledger. CONDITION: Excellent, as new, unfired, with only a very few light handling marks in wood, and some minor flecks of discoloration in case hardening colors on left side of action. Trigger guard has patches of flaking, and a tiny dent on right front of trigger guard bow. Blue rates about 50% - flaked from time, not from use. Bores are excellent with one minor small dent in left bbl. Mechanically crisp. THE PARKER STORY lists just under 6000 Trojans were made in this configuration.
