SENSATIONAL WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 DELUXE TAKEDOWN RIFLE WITH FACTORY 2X PIANO VARNISHED CHECKERED STOCKS AND FACTORY LETTER. WINCHESTER 1886 93105 45-90 ESA Cal. .45-90. 26" rnd bbl. Full matted top surface over address on bbl. Comes with ivory beaded front sight and Winchester Express rear sight. Cal marking on left side of matted bbl reading "45-90 WCF". Blued receiver, case colored hammer and lever with blued trigger. High grade piano finish on fabulous XX stocks with H-style checkering and hard rubber shotgun butt. Pistol grip cap is marked with black ebony insert. Lower tang is marked "247 XXS". Upper channel of stock is marked "247". Comes equipped with set trigger which needs some adjusting as it will not set. Period tang sight is correct for Model 1886. Accompanied by a 1970 Winchester factory Letter which confirms the special order features and ship date Oct 28, 1894. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Excellent. Rnd bbl retains about 96% blue. Mag tube is 96% blue with very few lines that would indicate it was taken down. Forearm cap retains 90-95% blue. Takedown collar has 95% blue. Set triggers need some adjusting as they will not set. Left side of receiver with some surface scratches but retains 95-96% blue. Right side has obvious surface scratches but retains 96-97% blue. Stock has few light impressions with no cracks and no splinters or missing wood on either upper or lower tang. Stock retains 96-97% finish on both left and right sides. Forearm has light impressions next to forend cap and on right side as well. One scratch about 1-1/2" long is evident in front of takedown collar. A few surface scratches and light impressions on forearm with 95-96% finish remaining. Buttplate has 98% blue finish remaining. All screw heads look in very fine condition. Bore is bright and shiny.
