SPECTACULAR SEMI-DELUXE WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 WITH FACTORY BRILLIANT CASE COLORED RECEIVER.WINCHESTER1886939845-90Cal. .45-90. 26" half octagon bbl with full mag. Case colored receiver, hammer, lever and blued trigger. Equipped with a standard grade uncheckered American walnut pistol grip stock having ebony insert with blue finish steel shotgun butt. Assembly line number on upper channel of stock and buttplate is marked "925". German silver blade front sight and standard bbl rear sight. Accompanied by a Cody Firearms Records Office research sheet listing all features except erroneously recorded caliber as 45-70 when it is 45-90, and shipped October 03, 1887. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Very Fine. Bbl retains 97% blue on both oct and rnd bbls. Mag tube has 96-97% blue. Forearm cap has 90% case colors of which most are vivid. Left side of receiver has 98% orig vivid case colors. Right side of receiver has 97% orig case colors. Loading gate has 95% niter blue. Bottom of receiver retains 95% case colors. Hammer is case colored with 96-97% as well as the lever being 93-94% case colored. Wood has light impressions on left side with one being 2" long with deeper impression from front to back. Right side has light compressions as well. Wood to metal fit is very fine with no chips or wood missing. No cracks are evident. Bright shiny bore. Mechanically excellent.
