FANTASTIC STYLE 10 FACTORY ENGRAVED AND PLATINUM BANDED WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 DELUXE TAKEDOWN EX-LIGHTWEIGHT RIFLE WITH FACTORY LETTER. WINCHESTER 1894 15336 30 WCF Cal. 30 WCF. 26" rnd rapid tapered pencil bbl with two line address and Smokeless Nickel Steel barrel markings. Half magazine with takedown lever and collar. Equipped with Lyman tang sight and express rear sight on bbl with Lyman globe combination sight. Blued receiver is factory engraved with exquisite No. 10 engraving featuring a standing Ram on left side and 8-point Buck on right side surrounded by foliate scrollwork. Engraved on top portion of receiver and on top of breech block. No proof marks visible. Platinum banded at muzzle and breech ends of bbl with accompanying engraving flourishes. Wonderful full fancy walnut pistol grip stocks with "F" style checkering and hard rubber grip cap. Case colored crescent buttplate is and engraved to match. Accompanied by 1980 Winchester Factory Letter which confirms special order features and ship date of Aug 24, 1898. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbl retains 97-98% blue with takedown assembly retaining about the same. Nose cap is engraved and retains 70-80% blue with the balance turning patina. Condition of wood rates a solid 95-98% finish on forearm with the same amount on the stock. Right side of stock with a few compressions. Beautiful feather crotch American walnut that has turned a nice amber color. Left side is also feather crotch American walnut with a few dings that have turned dark on upper portion of stock. Hammer, trigger and lever have soft case colors. The bottom of receiver lever link shows 80% blue with balance in one spot turning patina. Buttplate is engraved, and retains about 20% case color but has silvered out. Wood to metal on stock to receiver is near perfect with no chips or cracks. Mechanics are fine with bright and shiny bore. This is a very rare and beautiful rifle worthy of the finest Winchester collection that comes from the best Winchester collection...
