FABULOUS ANTIQUE WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 RIFLE.WINCHESTER1894767638-55Cal. 38-55. 26" full octagon bbl with standard front sight of German silver insert with a buckhorn rear sight. 2-line standard address on bbl. Magazine tube is of full length. Receiver is blued as is breech block. Loading gate is nitrer blued. Hammer and lever are case colored as is buttplate. Both stock and forearm are standard straight grain American walnut. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Very fine. Octagon bbl retains 98-99% orig blue as does full length mag tube. Forearm retains 98% orig blue. Left side of receiver retains 98% orig blue with numerous little small dings and scratches around hammer screw. Right side is of 98% orig blue. Hammer retains 96-97% orig case color with lever a bright, vivid case colors on left and right side with lower lever retaining only 40-50% case color, the balance turning silver. Buttplate retains 90% soft orig case colors with balance turning to dark patina around edges and top part of flange of buttplate. Straight grained American walnut is of few impressions on left side with a couple light impressions on right with few scratches visible. Screw heads retain a very fine condition with majority of finish remaining. Forearm cap screws have been turned. Bore is bright and shiny.
