SPLENDID AND RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 DELUXE TAKEDOWN RIFLE IN SPECTACULAR CONDITION WITH FACTORY DELUXE FIGURED PISTOL GRIP WALNUT STOCK.WINCHESTER189435987338-55MODERN; C&RCal. 38-55. 26" half rnd, half oct bbl with full magazine, takedown lever and collar. "PW" proof mark in oval on top of receiver and in front of caliber marking on top flat of bbl. Sporting sights. Case hardened hammer, lever and crescent buttplate. Nicely figured deluxe checkered American walnut stock has pistol grip with Winchester Arms Company logo on cap. Serial Number applied for on July 25, 1907. No Letter available for this SN. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Very fine. Rifle retains virtually all of its original factory finishes. 98% blued breech block. Hammer, lever and trigger have orig case colors. Loading gate shows 95+% highly polished niter blue. Case colors on some of screws all indicate they have not been turned. Stocks shows a few minor compression marks. Lever link is blued and is of 98% condition. Rifle cycles properly. Mechanics are fine. Mint bore and rifling. No cracks or slivers on stock. Forearm nose cap retains 95% blue with minor speckling on left side. Takedown collar retains 99% blue. All screw heads indicate little to no use, and are in fine condition. An outstanding deluxe Winchester 1894 in the most powerful and desirable caliber for this model. 53091-225 MS (10,000-15,000)
