NEARLY MINT ANTIQUE "PLAIN VANILLA" WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SADDLE RING CARBINE.WINCHESTER18943661530Cal. .30 WCF. 20" bbl with standard bbl marking of "MANUFACTURED BY THE / WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN CONN. U.S.A." with express rear sight and Lyman front beaded sight. Full mag with two bbl bands, has saddle ring stud in place. American straight grain walnut stock and forearm. Case colored buttplate with blued receiver, case colored hammer and lever. Accompanied by a Winchester Factory Letter which confirms the configuration and lists ship date of June 14, 1898. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Very fine. Rnd bbl has a solid 99% blue as does mag tube. Front bbl band 98% blue as is the rear bbl band. Left side receiver has small area of speckling of front portion of receiver with balance 98% blue. Right side receiver is 99% blue with loading gate 99% nitre blue. Breech block retains 99% blue and fire blue on extractor is 99%. Case color on hammer is 99% with no drag line. Lever has 99% strong, vivid case colors. Buttplate is 99% bright case colors, not vivid, bright. All screw heads indicate that they have not been turned and in very fine condition. Bottom tang also indicates screw heads are in equal condition. Stock on right has few impressions with no splits or chips of wood missing. Right side of stock has very few impressions with also no chips of wood missing or splits evident. Rifle is still equipped with what appears to be orig factory grease indicating that it probably hasn't been fired since leaving factory. Bore is bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp.
