OUTSTANDING LOT OF 4 EARLY 44WCF CALIBER GREEN LABEL BOXES OF AMMUNITION.

2 very early green label Winchester Model 1873 Cal. 44wcf cartridges. Circa 1874-1876. This early variation w/long label wraps over the right end of the box lid, so can be read from the edge. 2 additional boxes w/green labels w/no print dates in corners and are the earliest variation w/the Winchester 1873 carbine w/a detailed picture of the forward bbl band. This box was used up to the 1890s. SIZE: PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Outstanding w/crisp, clear and well-defined labels, all 4 boxes appear sealed w/little or no distress and these cartridges were previously purchased by Mr. Ray Bentley, from Mr. Val Forgett. 53091-261 TDW (2,000-3,000)
