Shipped 1894 to Simmons Hardward. Colt Factory letter verifying all features. The finest condition pre-1899 Colt SAA we have ever had the pleasure of cataloging. Apart from the very faintest tracking lien on cylinder this revolver is as new. Really should be seen to be believed, this gun is so new. Even more rare than a mint black powder Colt is a pristine original picture box with matching SN and caliber marking. Of further interest is that at one time this gun was owned by a Mrs. B W Foltz Fort Collins Colorado. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: As previously noted apart from the faintest tracking line. A slight rub on the ejector rod housing. Colt number 156576 is a brand new gun with brilliant bright blue on bbl, cylinder, backstrap and trigger guard. Screw heads retain all orig blue. Checkered hard rubber grips are essentially as new. I've never seen a black powder Colt in better condition. As good as it gets. Bore is brilliant and face of cylinder reflects the unfired nature of this beautiful Colt revolver. Condition of the picture box is nearly as good as the gun, as all Colt labels, orig SN matching. Very sound for one of these. Original Colt pictures boxes for SAA are perhaps the rarest of all Colt Factory boxes.
