IMPORTANT WINCHESTER EXPERIMENTAL MODEL 1900 SINGLE SHOT PISTOL INCLUDING BEN FRANKLIN AIR GUN FROM SAME COLLECTION. WINCHESTER 1900 NSN 22 MODERN; C&R Cal. 22. 10" rnd bbl with bolt action design identical to the 1900 single shot rifle. Bbl marked with traditional 2-line Winchester markings for the 1900 and marked .22 short and long. Unusual front blade sight unlike any of those listed by Winchester. Rear sight is equally unusual. Single shot frame is constructed of gunmetal bronze not unlike a Henry rifle. No defining markings are found on interior or exterior of frame. Two piece highly figured walnut grips are retained by a single screw protruding through brass grip strap. These unusual single shot pistols have been well documented by the noted author George Madis with numerous line drawings from Winchester Repeating Arms giving good credence to their authenticity and rarity. A subnote by George Madis refers to these guns as the model 1902, however this model is specifically marked model 1900 on bbl. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine with most all blue finish remaining on bbl. Brass frame has obtained a wonderful mustard appearance from age with no evidence of ever having been polished. Two piece walnut grips are equally as fine with no distress or material loss. Bore is bright and shiny, however bolt fails to function as is covered internally and on the exterior with what appears to be 100 years of dried storage oil or grease. A wonderfully rare and unique Winchester collectible. 53094-2 TDW (3,000-4,000)

BENJAMIN AIR RIFLE COBENJAMIN FRANKLINNSN177Cal. 177. 7" bbl. Brass tubular construction with non-ferrous alloy frame. Pump action operation. Sgl shot with 2-pc walnut grips and cross bolt safety. This sgl shot air pistol was previously on display with the attached Winchester Model 1900 sgl shot pistol. In the collection of noted Winchester authority Ray Bentley. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Fair condition with no external finish remaining. Fails to function as an air pistol as seals are apparently dried out and do not create compression. Grips are very fine. 53094-71 TDW (35-44)
