COLT MODEL 1877 DOUBLE ACTION EJECTOR-LESS REVOLVER KNOWN AS "THE THUNDERER". COLT 1877 140682 41LC MODERN; C&R Cal. 41 LC. 2-1/2" bbl, blue and case color finish, 2-pc checkered hard rubber grips with Colt medallions. Bbl shows correct Colt 2-line address rolled on top with Model and Cal. mark on left side. SNs appear on frame, trigger guard and backstrap. Cyl is not numbered. Last 3-digits of SN written in pencil inside each grip. SNs match. Left side of frame shows 3-line Colt patent mark in front of Rampant Colt logo in a circle. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl shows 98% orig Colt blue with only some slight wear toward the muzzle and some thinning on the right side. Markings are very sharp. Bore is frosty with strong rifling. Frame retains 90% of slightly dulling case color finish which is vivid in protected areas. Trigger guard and backstrap also retain 95% orig blue with some high-point wear and a few scratches. Cyl retains 95% bright blue finish with light scratches around periphery. Hammer shows almost all fire blue on back and top. Screws also retain most of fire blue finish. Trigger retains 50% fire blue. Grips are very good with sharp checkering and a couple of small abrasions on left grip. Mechanics are crisp.
