COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER CONVERTED TO 22LR CALIBER. COLT SINGLE ACTION 352369 22LR MODERN; C&R Cal. 22 LR. 7-7/16" bbl, blue and case color finish, 2-pc checkered hard rubber grips with Colt medallions. This revolver has been professionally converted from a large bore center fire Cal. to 22LR Cal. Bbl has been replaced with a non-Colt product. Cyl has been bushed to 22 Cal.. Frame bushing has been altered along with firing pin to rim fire Cal. A ramp front sight has been installed; an adjustable rear sight has been installed into top of frame. Cyl pin has been replaced by a custom large head type. Bbl is unmarked. SN is stamped on frame and inside of trigger guard and backstrap. SN's match. Matching SN is also scratched on inside of each grip. Right rear trigger guard bow shows an "&" which indicates return to factory for repair. Conversion does not appear to factory work. Cyl has "U" stamped on front face. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl shows grey/brown patina overall with some dents and mars. Front ramp sight is good. Bore is frosty with visible rifling. Frame retains traces of case color finish. Loading gate fits. Trigger guard and backstrap retain 20-30% blue finish with handling marks and wear overall. Cyl retains considerable amount of blue finish with some scratches around periphery and light drag mark between bolt stops. Mechanics are crisp. A very interesting Colt six shooter that was converted to 22LR by a competent gunsmith. 53094-20 TEP (1,000-1,250)
