OUTSTANDING EXTREMELY FINE 1945 M47C BRITISH NO.4.MK.1 T .303 SNIPER RIFLE WITH SCOPE AND TRANSIT CHEST. BRITISH ENFIELD #4 SNIPER RIFLE U36000 .303 MODERN; C&R Cal. .303. 25-1/4" bbl. All proper sniper rifle markings, including "S51" on bottom of stock. 1945 dated on left butt socket. All matching numbers including mag. Gun is in the orig matching No15 MK1 wood transit chest with label. Inside the chest is the orig matching scope and mount with steel carry case and leather strap. The scope is a No32 MK III 1945 marked scope. Matching number on scope body and top of stock. Mount number and steel carry case number match gun. Also included are both a Savage made British spike bayonet and a 1950 No.9 blade bayonet. American WWII style brown leather sling. There is also an unmarked leather strap in the box. PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: Extremely fine with minimal handling marks. Greasy. All markings sharp and clear. Wood is very fine with extremely minor handling marks. Bore is excellent, bright and shiny. Scope and carry case in matching condition. Excellent optics.
