GROUP OF 6 ANTIQUE EDGED WEAPONS.1) Rare and fine presentation grade "ARAGON" OAXACA Bowie, 14-1/4" overall with 9-1/4" clip-point blade with fine etched panels of cowboys, tooled leather sheath. 2) Sheffield Bowie, 11-3/4" overall with 7" clip-point blade "JOHN / LINGARD'S / CELEBRATED BOWIE KNIFE / PEACROFT". Horn grip slabs with Mother-of-pearl inlays and German silver mounts including sheath. 3) Gaucho knife with silver grip and scabbard, 11-1/4" overall; 7" blade, "INOX / MADE IN BRAZIL". 4) Civil War era Sheffield folder "WM JACKSON & CO / SHEAH ISLAND WORKS / SHEFFIELD". 9-1/2" overall with 4-1/2" double edged blade. Oval vignette with American eagle and shield, Mother-of-pearl slabs. 5) Rare Russian naval dress dagger, dated "1955" with engraved scabbard mounts on orig belt, also with naval motifs. 6) Presentation silver mounted kukri, repousse raised relief silver mounts and presentation plaque "PRESENTED TO / COLONEL SIR DOUGLAS DAWSON / BY / SIR CHANDRA SHAMSHUR JUNG / PRIME MINISTER OF NEPAL / JUNE 1908". 17-1/2" overall, among the fanciest kukri's you will find with well carved horn grip. SIZE: PROVENANCE: The spectacular collections of Ray Bentley featuring the finest and rarest deluxe antique Winchesters in the world. CONDITION: 1) Fine overall. Blade retains most of its bright finish grip. Also very good with silver-plated mounts and polished bone and horn grip. Sheath is very good with wear and craquelure to snap closure strap. 2) Very good to fine overall. Blade retains most of its orig luster with scattered areas of staining and pinprick pitting. German silver and scabbard mounts have matching dull silver patina. Sheath body is scuffed, still retaining most of its burgundy color with gilt design. 3) Fine overall, silver patina. 4) Fair to good overall, well worn, old sharpening. One of 4 MOP slabs is loose as is 1/2 of crossguard. Solder filled mounts have dark mustard patina with small reductions. 5) Fine overall 8-3/8" double edged blade retains most of its orig luster, "N10820" engraved on ricasso opposite maker's mark and date. 6) Fine overall. Blade retains much of its orig surface, showing cruder tool marks typical of Indochina cutlers. Two small chips in horn grip.
