REMINGTON NEW MODEL ARMY REVOLVER, MILITARY ISSUE.REMINGTONNEW MODEL ARMY3166244Cal. 44. 8" bbl, full blue finish, brass trigger guard, 2-pc American walnut grips. Top of bbl shows 3-line Remington patent mark address and model designation. SN is stamped on bbl under loading lever. SN also appears on frame under left grip. Various military inspector marks are struck at breech of bbl and on trigger guard. Traces of a military cartouche appears on lower left grip. CONDITION: Good to very good. Revolver shows deep grey/brown patina overall with no evidence of heavy cleaning. Bbl address is slightly washed out but legible. Inspector marks are clear. Mechanics are fine. A good, honest example of a Remington Civil War issue revolver for the beginning collector. 52801-8 TEP (1,250-2,000)
