VERY FINE SPRINGFIELD ALTERATION OF MODEL 1865 SPENCER SADDLE RING CARBINE FOR INDIAN WAR SERVICE. SPENCER MODEL 1865 CARBINE 19347 56-50 Cal. 56-50. This is a very fine example of the Springfield Armory alteration with added stabler single shot device. This is an excellent example retaining much of its arsenal refinish. Gun accompanied by an individual center fire breech block for shooting center fire cartridges and 3 Lyman cartridge dies. CONDITION: Very fine overall. Bbl retains about 90% arsenal refinish, muted case colors on frame and hammer. Stocks are sound with a newer re-varnish and discernible "ESA" cartouche.
