INDIAN WAR SPRINGFIELD 45-70 TRAPDOOR CARBINE. SPRINGFIELD 1884 CARBINE 413933 45-70 Cal. 45-70. Standard saddle ring carbine with long range Buffington rear sight marked, "US MODEL 1884" on breech with indiscernible inspector's cartouche. Gun has been totally refinished, re-blued and re-varnished, but has crisp action and crisp rifled bore. CONDITION: Fine as refinished. Markings discernible, stocks sound with worn edges and old varnish. As noted, mechanically crisp with crisp rifled bore. 52801-2 JS (1,250-1,750)
