FINE CIVIL WAR 1860 US CAVALRY SABER WITH RARE SWORD KNOT.Fine 1865 dated "MANSFIELD & LAMB FORESTDALE, RI" contract Model 1860 cavalry saber still retaining orig enlisted sword knot. SIZE: CONDITION: Sword is fine overall. 35" blade retains much of its orig polish with excellent markings. Inspector marks found on blade, pommel and throat. Scabbard is sound and solid with old cleaning, staining and light pitting. Sword knot is dry and flaking and missing portions of fringe on knot. 52865-53 JS (500-700)
