EXTREMELY FINE CIVIL WAR AMES 1863 DATED DAHLGREN BOWIE BAYONET.12" blade retains much of its orig polish and shine, crisp Ames markings and inspector marks and date. Scabbard has "USNY / BOSTON / 1865" marked black dyed buff frog. SIZE: CONDITION: Fine to very fine overall. Blade retains much of its orig luster, crisp markings. Scabbard is sound and solid. Markings on frog are discernible, there are a couple of tears on belt loop, soiled and rougher than scabbard body. Brass mounts and hilt have smooth mixed dark mustard patina. 52865-58 JS (600-800)
