GROUP OF FIVE 19TH CENTURY FIREARMS. ANTIQUE PISTOLS PERCUSSION PISTOL 2564, 4340, 21, 1684, 1684 30, 22, 36 1) Cal. 30. Reuthe 1857 patent percussion trap gun, SN 2564. All metal with 4-1/4" bbls marked on top in raised relief "F. REUTHE'S / PATENT / MAY 12TH 1857". 2) Cal. 22, 5-shot Elliot's Patent Remington pepperbox, SN 4340. 3) Cal. 36. Mariette percussion 5-bbl pepperbox revolver, Liege proofs, SN or assembly number "21", about 3" bbl clusters. 4) and 5) Cal. 45. Pair of Cogswell, London sgl-shot percussion muff pistols. 2" screw-on bbls, SN 1684 on both, assembly numbers "2" and "5" on bbls and frames. CONDITION: 1) Good to very good, mechanics are functional with remnants of orig black enamel paint. 2) Very good overall with strong traces of finish in flutes, good markings. Mechanically functional. 3) Good to very good overall. Mechanically functional. 4) and 5) Good to very good overall. Both guns are mechanically functional, assembly number "5" retains traces of case color and most varnish to bag grip. Assembly number "2" has broken cone, weathered grip, frame slightly bent with traces of case colors. 52865-12 JS (2,000-3,000)
