EXCEPTIONALLY FINE, BAKERS PATENT EASY OPENING E. J. CHURCHILL PREMIERE GRADE (BEST) XXV SIDELOCK EJECTOR SHOTGUN WITH ORIGINAL LONG LENGTH OF PULL WITH MAKERS TWO-GUN CASE. EJ CHURCHILL XXV 5157 12 MODERN; C&R (1935) Cal. 12 ga. 2-5/8" Chambers. 25" Chopper lump bbls with makers name and address on tops are fitted with Churchill type matted rib. Gun is "1" of a pair. Case hardened sidelock action with automatic safety and double triggers is of Bakers patent (12-20) easy opening type, and is fully engraved with nicely cut shaded scroll within scroll borders. Well fiddle figured straight grip stock measures 15-3/4" over thin black Decelerator pad. Splinter ejector forend has Anson release, and interior of iron is gold inlaid "Churchill" "Premiere Model" and SN. Bore diameter: left -.730, right - .730. Bore restrictions: left - .012 (lt mod), right - .012 (lt mod). Wall thickness: left - .028, right - .028. Drop at heel: 2-3/8", drop at comb: 1-3/8". Cast: approx 3/8 off. Weight: 6 lbs. 4 oz. LOP: 15-3/4". Gun is housed in makers VC two gun leather case, with two separate compartments, separated by divider which has celluloid labels. CONDITION: Excellent, mostly original. Bbls retain over 95% orig blue. Action and lockplates have 80 - 90% orig color. Trigger guard and top lever re-blued. Screwheads have new temper blue. Stocks have nearly all of what appears to be their orig finish, checkering cleaned. Bores are excellent. Mechanically excellent. Case is good.
