GORGEOUS C. CASARTELLI DOUBLE RIFLE IN .375H&H CALIBER.C. CASARTELLIDBL RIFLE823375H&HW/CASE & SCOPEMODERN; IMPORTCal. .375H&H. 26" bbls with 1/4 rib and engraved ramp front blade sight. Nickel plated dbl triggers, auto ejectors, non-auto safety. Claw mount scope is a Hensoldt Wetzlar Diatal-D 2-3/4 x 21 scope. Top of left bbl engraved "C CASARTELLI - GARDONE VT". Steel capped pistol grip buttstock is checkered in 3-point pattern with tear drop behind sidelocks and has beaded cheekpiece on left side with 14-3/8" LOP over thin red pad. Buttstock with sling swivel and small silver oval near toe. Reinforced action is beautifully case color finished with chain borders and light scroll engraving on both sides. Bottom of action is lightly scroll engraved with wheat pattern engraving on sides. Bushed strikers, and seven pin locks. Splinter forearm with Anson type push button release checkered in 2-point pattern with engraved tip. Blued top lever with border and geometric design engraving. Rolled edge trigger guard with burst of scroll at bow and SN at tang. Left lock engraved "C CASARTELLI" at front. Housed in a black plastic case with red liner. All visible SNs match. WEIGHT: 11lbs. 6oz. with scope. CONDITION: Very fine, as lightly field used. Bbls retain nearly all of their orig blued finish. Action retains about 95% of its orig case hardened finish. Buttstock and forearm are very fine with minor impressions and light scratches and retain more than 95% of their orig finish. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are fine, except ejector in need of minor adjustment as left ejector will not trip. Case is very good. This is a fabulous dbl rifle and quite rare as Casartelli is not known to have made many dbl rifles. 53024-6 JSL68 (5,500-8,500)
