Standard length Model 98 Mauser action with turned down engine turned bolt, and Model 70 type safety, retains standard trigger. Drop box bottom metal has hinged floorplate. Action, bottom metal, sights, and trap grip cap are engraved with full coverage large open shaded scroll. Dense, somewhat streaked European walnut stock with Monte Carlo comb, large right hand cheekpiece, point pattern checkering, and hard rubber forend tip, measures 14-5/8" over Silver type pad. Drop at heel: approx 2-5/8", drop at comb: approx 1-3/4". Cast: neutral. Weight: 9 lbs. 8 oz. LOP: 14-5/8". CONDITION: Excellent, with evidence of very little use, with only a few minor marks in metal surfaces, and some marks in wood, most notably on left side above trigger. Bore is excellent.
