EARLY LIGHTWEIGHT PARKER DH 12 GAUGE GAME GUN SHOTGUN.PARKERDH11471712 GAMODERN; C&RCal. 12 ga. 28" Damascus bbls. 2-3/4" chambers. #1-1/2 frame. Choked Improved cylinder/full. Full length matted top rib with brass front bead. Usual rib inscription. Double triggers, extractors, auto safety. Pistol grip buttstock checkered in 3-point pattern with tear drop behind action. 14-1/2" LOP over modern red pad. Brass oval near toe. Splinter forearm checkered in standard DH pattern with engraved Deeley release and engraved steel tip. Receiver is nicely engraved in typical early D grade pattern with setter on right, pointer on left surrounded by flowing scroll engraving. All visible SNs match. Bore diameter: left - .735, right – .734. Bore restrictions: left – .025 (mod), right – .007 (I/C). Wall thickness: left – .021, right – .020. Drop at heel: 2-5/8", drop at comb: 1-5/8". Weight: 6 lbs 10 oz. PROVENANCE: Daryl Middlebrook Collection. CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain app 90% orig Damascus pattern with some minor staining. Buttstock and forearm have been expertly restored. Checkering is crisp. Trigger guard has been reblued, tang with later screw at back of grip and some minor filler on right side of tang. Buttstock with old repair through wrist which is now near invisible. Receiver retains approximately 20% orig color. Gun is very slightly loose on the hinge. Mechanics are fair although forearm release spring is in need of repair, and hinge as noted above. Bores are excellent. 53098-16 JSL (1,500-2,500)
