FABULOUS AND RARE ALL ORIGINAL PARKER VH 28 GAUGE DOUBLE SHOTGUN. PARKER VH 158793 28 GA MODERN; C&R Cal. 28 ga. 30" Vulcan Steel bbls. 2-7/8" chambers. #0 frame. Full length matted top rib with steel front bead. Double triggers, extractors, auto safety. Straight grip buttstock checkered in 2-point pattern with 13-7/8" LOP over orig Parker Bros. DHBP. Splinter forearm with Deeley release and steel tip. Case colored receiver is zigzag border engraved and marked Parker Bros. on sides. All visible SN match. WEIGHT: 6lb 2 oz. PROVENANCE: Daryl Middlebrook Collection. CONDITION: Fine and appears totally orig, honest, and completely untouched. Bbls retain approximately 90% orig blued finish with some spotting and beginning erosion particularly on right tube towards muzzle and on left side of rib towards muzzle. Receiver retains at least 70% gorgeous original case color. Buttstock and forearm are excellent and retain 95% orig finish with beautiful open pores and finish opening up on butt. Mechanics are crisp. Bores are bright and shiny. According to the Parker story there are only 79 in this configuration and only approximately 5% have straight grips, confirming this gun as an extremely rare Parker.
